There is one other Aaron Gertler on the internet.

For years, we fought over email addresses, URLs, Twitter handles, and all manner of other identifying attributes, without ever knowing our opponents.

One day, I decided that enough was enough, and connected with him on LinkedIn. Sadly, that first message is lost to time, but this was his reply:

I knew immediately that we would become very good, albeit temporary, Internet friends.

This project hasn’t come to pass, but I suspect that, if I ever try to make it happen, Aaron Gertler will be ready and waiting.

I’d highly recommend connecting with your nominative counterparts. At the very least, it makes things easier when you invariably stumble into each other’s paths in this wide world of ours:
